Joy has been looking after my dog Dinah since September. She is fantastic! Dinah just loves her. She looks forward to her walks with Joy and comes home contented and relaxed after a good time out. Joy is reliable, flexible and accommodating. She took Dinah on a “sleepover” when I was out of town. She truly loves her work and is very professional. Their products were always in an excellent condition and of a very good quality. I also had a very good experience with the birds as well. They gave very sound advice on which birds to put together and which ones not to put together.

They taught me on how to handle the birds and on what to feed them which was a great help and was greatly appreciated.

We don't entrust our dogs to many people, but we know they are in good hands with Joy. She has a great understanding of dogs and we are grateful for her patience with our two terriers. After their group walk, Maya and Petunia are couch potatoes for the rest of the day which allows us to enjoy them that much more. Thanks to Canada Zoo Crew, our dogs are tired and better socialized and we're all a lot happier!

Joy and Canada's Zoo Crew have done a wonderful job with Barkley. They are always available to take him for walks, the price is very reasonable and Barkley just loves them. I would recommend Joy to anybody who likes to have a sleeping dog at night.

Since Joy has started walking Sadie – our newly adopted a one-and-a-half-year-old high-energy German Sheppard/Hound – we have noticed a huge difference in her behaviour and disposition. Sadie is a “special needs” dog as she has been given up several times due to destructive chewing, nipping and jumping up on people and we had already had one dog walker refuse to walk Sadie due to her behaviour issues.

Joy took Sadie on with gusto and said that she would not give up on her. It is now a month later and Sadie’s nipping and jumping up is one quarter what it used to be and Joy has taught us some techniques to curve her bad habits. Sadie gets so excited when she sees Joy walk through the door and comes home from her walks exhausted and with a big goofy grin on her face. Joy has been a God-send for both Sadie and us!

We have recommended her to our friends and family with pets as well as everyone in our obedience class!

When my 2 dogs see Joy pull into the driveway, they go nuts. She's wonderful with them and it's obvious that she has a real passion for animals. I also love that she takes them out in small groups because it means they get more exercise and they get to socialize with other dogs. In a very short period of time, I came to trust her completely with my dogs.

Dear Joy,
I just wanted to say thanks for everything….. Canada’s Zoo Crew took great care of my baby boy Beethoven. Joy has always been very professional and accommodating to mine as well as Beethoven’s needs. The daily e mails and updates about Beethoven’s a ntics always put a smile on my face. I am a nurse and work 12 hour shifts and I have much comfort in knowing that Beethoven is getting his well deserved “outside” time with a wonderful, dedicated women such as Joy.

My name is Caileag, a female lab cross and just over year old. I’ve been with Canada’s Zoo Crew shortly after Joy started it. I’m Joy’s biggest fan. I have a wonderful time when I’m out with Joy and my other doggie friends. We usually go to Bruce Pit or Conroy Pit to burn off energy. I am beat when I get back and am nice & calm for when my parents come home.

I would recommend Joy Rushton to any, and every, pet owner in Ottawa. She is reliable, responsible and offers impeccable services at very reasonable rates.

Initially, I was a bit apprehensive about having a stranger stay in my house with my dog, but as soon as I met Joy and watched how she interacted with Brandy, I felt completely at ease. When I returned after being away for several days my dog seemed happy, relaxed, and pretty attached to Joy.

He is too old to fly home with us for vacations, and rather than taking any of the risks associated with kennels, Joy gives me complete peace of mind by staying with Brandy in his own environment, providing care all day and night.

Canada's Zoo Crew has been taking care of our little Lulu since October 2005. Initially, we were just looking for someone to come and keep Lulu company overnight during the birth of our baby girl. We were so pleased with the service that Lulu now has regular "play dates" three times a week with Joy and other dogs.
